Mission: To serve persons in Muskegon County with resources to meet basic needs, promote self-sufficiency, and improve the quality of life
Mission for Area People is a faith-based organization providing Muskegon County residents with resources to meet basic needs, promote self-sufficiency, and improve quality of life.
Our goals: Provide services with dignity while giving a “hand up” versus a “hand out”
Population: MAP provides services to low income, unemployed, homeless, as well as working low-income residents in Muskegon County who have an emergency need.
What We Do
Resources we offer to community members in need:
- Back to School
- Clothing/Household Pantry
- Emergency Medical and Dental Funds
- Healthy Choice Food Pantry
- Holiday / Christmas Programs
- Rental Assistance
- Daycare Financial Assistance
- Free medical clinic by appointment
- Medical fund (prescriptions, office co pays, gas to get to appointments, etc.)
- Community Health Worker in partnership with Access Health
- ALICE Transportation Program (car repairs, ID’s, registration, uniforms) for individuals working at least 23 hours per week
- Teen Town Christmas program
- Holiday dinner programs
