Kids Belong

Mission: To support children in the foster care system by ensuring they thrive in strong, loving families.

Kids Belong began in 2013 as an effort to help our community rally around foster care. There are hundreds of kids in foster care in West Michigan, and there are just never quite enough homes to care for them all. Over the years we’ve seen an overburdened system lean heavily on some of its most overburdened families and we’ve thought, there has to be a better way to do this.

We are a network of foster and adoptive families in West Michigan, supporting and taking care of foster and adoptive families.

We support foster families in West Michigan through support groups, free foster closet, organizing meals and supplies, offering free backpacks and school supplies, organizing donations and gift cards for new foster care placements.
