Who We Are
Mission: To provide housing, mentoring, and life skills training in a Christ-centered environment, empowering young adults and single pregnant women to confidently pursue their goals with purpose.
Step Up was established in May 2015 in response to the significant number of youth in Muskegon County aging out of the foster care system. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by these young adults, we have expanded our mission to support all 18-24-year-olds and single pregnant women striving for independence. Through mentoring, educational guidance, life skills training, and community partnerships, Step Up equips individuals with the tools to live self-sufficient, responsible, and fulfilling lives in a supportive, Christian environment.
What We Do
Step Up provides a range of services to empower young adults as they transition into independence. We offer safe housing, life skills training, and mentorship programs to help individuals build confidence, develop responsibility, and achieve self-sufficiency. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of foster youth aging out of the system, as well as other young adults seeking stability and support. By fostering strong community partnerships and expanding our residential facilities as resources allow, Step Up creates a nurturing environment where participants can pursue their goals and build a foundation for a successful future.
