Who We Are

Tri-Cities Area Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating sub-standard housing in our community. Since our founding in 1989, we have partnered with local churches, businesses, and individuals to build over 60 safe, decent, and affordable homes across the Tri-Cities region—including Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg, Fruitport, Roosevelt Park, and Norton Shores. Rooted in our commitment to faith and community, we believe that everyone deserves a stable place to call home. By bringing people together, we create opportunities for families to achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

What We Do

Tri-Cities Area Habitat for Humanity works hand-in-hand with local partners to build and sell affordable homes to qualified families. These homes are constructed through the generous support of volunteers, donors, and community organizations, allowing us to offer them at no profit and with zero-interest mortgages.

Partner Families contribute a $500 down payment and invest 200–400 hours of "Sweat Equity" by helping build their own home or the homes of others. They also receive support services that prepare them for the responsibilities of homeownership.

In a region where over 500 families face homelessness, our mission is to provide a lasting solution—because when families have safe and stable housing, children are more likely to succeed in school and life. Together, we build homes, communities, and hope.
