Mona Lake Mobile Home Park | Norton Shores
Muskegon County Public Health Department and local community organizations to support families affected by the sudden closure of Mona Lake Mobile Home Park.
Residents were recently given notice that the park will be closing, leaving families with a very short period of time to navigate housing, relocation, legal, financial, and other immediate needs.
In response, community partners have moved quickly to organize an on-site resource event tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, where residents can connect directly with organizations that can provide information, resources, and support.
Because of how quickly this situation has developed, this event has come together in just a matter of days. We need the community's help to make it happen!
Morning Setup Volunteers
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM | 8 volunteers needed
Volunteers will help set up approximately 15 canopy tents, tables, chairs, and the event and food areas.
Evening Tear Down Volunteers
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | 5 volunteers needed
Volunteers will help take down tents, tables, and chairs and assist with cleaning and organizing the event area.
Location
Mona Lake Mobile Home Park
3527 Hoyt St. #58
Norton Shores, MI 49444
The park is located near the intersection of Lakeshore Boulevard and Hoyt Street. Please use the Hoyt Street entrance. A map and additional arrival instructions will be sent to volunteers after registration.
This is a simple but meaningful way to step up for our neighbors during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. By giving just an hour or two tomorrow, you can help make sure local organizations are ready to focus on what matters most: supporting the families affected by this closure.
Please consider joining us and helping our community respond when our neighbors need us most.
