Volunteer Opportunity: Muskegon Lake Annual Spring Cleanup 2025
Date: Sunday, April 27, 2025
Time: 8:30 AM - Noon
Location: Meet at CIO Hall, 490 W. Western Ave, Downtown Muskegon, MI 49440
Join us in making a difference! The Muskegon Lake Watershed Partnership invites volunteers of all ages to help clean up the Muskegon Lake Watershed, spanning from the lower Muskegon River to Lake Michigan.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Assist in removing litter and debris from shoreline areas and surrounding watershed locations.
- Work as part of a team at one of twelve cleanup sites around Muskegon Lake.
- Follow environmental guidelines to avoid disturbing wildlife and nesting birds.
- Engage with fellow volunteers in a fun and rewarding outdoor experience.
What to Bring & Wear:
- Rubber gloves or work gloves (if you have them).
- Old shoes or rubber boots—expect to get a little wet and dirty.
- Layers of clothing to prepare for changing weather conditions.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to make a difference.
Additional Details:
- No registration required—just show up and sign in with a team leader.
- Pre-cleanup refreshments will be provided at the meeting location.
- The cleanup will take place rain or shine, so come prepared.
