The Muskegon Lake Watershed Partnership hosts an annual Spring Cleanup on the Sunday before or after Earth Day, each year. Approximately 12 shoreline locations are cleaned up from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. All volunteers meet at CIO Hall on Western Avenue, in Muskegon at 8:00 a.m. for refreshments, a safety briefing and to team up with a Team Leader for each location, before heading out. The City of Muskegon provides tools, bags, gloves and other supplies. The MLWP volunteer Team Leaders provide sign-in liability waivers and litter forms to the volunteers at each location.
