Volunteer: COMMUNITY ART PROJECT - Muskegon Community CollegeCommunity Art Project with MCC - Thumbprints United You can help engage the community in an interactive art project in which anyone can participate for free. Thumbprints United is a collaborative community art project that transforms a simple fingerprint into a powerful symbol of unity and diversity. Everyone in the community is invited to leave their unique thumbprint on large boards (shaped like MCC 100) —using colorful, non-toxic ink—to contribute to a vibrant collective artwork. Each thumbprint, distinct in its pattern and hue, represents an individual voice, while the resulting mosaic celebrates the strength found in togetherness. As the boards fill with hundreds of thumbprints, it visually narrates the story of a community coming together to create something beautiful, meaningful, and entirely unique. This project inspires connection, inclusion, and pride, reminding participants that every person leaves an indelible mark on the community. Volunteers would be needed to assist with using rotating blue and yellow inks and offering handwipes to wipe off the access ink. Two volunteers per three hours shift.
