What We Do

The NNIA maintains two neighborhood gardens. The Mike Miller Memorial Garden is located at 257 West Muskegon Avenue. The Roger Allison Memorial Garden is located at 1349 Sixth St, on the corner of Sixth and Mason.

The Nelson neighborhood is located within the heart of the City of Muskegon, and contains the entire downtown area. Nelson is bounded on the north by Muskegon Lake, south by Laketon Ave., east by Peck and Terrace Streets and on the west by Seaway Dr. and Ninth St.

Located within the Nelson neighborhood are the City and County offices, US Post Office, Muskegon Mall, historic Frauenthal Theatre, LC Walker Arena, Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor, Muskegon Board of Education, Hackley Public Library, Red Cross, Muskegon County Museum, Muskegon Museum of Art, Muskegon High School, Muskegon Chronicle and Hackley Park, just to name a few.
