Who We Are
Mission: To support veterans by raising money to train service dogs.
Rucking for a Cause – This unique event invites you to carry a weighted backpack or vest and embark on a journey to support our valiant veterans. No weight? No worries! Walking without weight is equally celebrated, as every step you take brings a veteran closer to their service dog. For every $3,000 raised, we will be able to train ONE service dog. This noble animal will be trained under the expert guidance of the West Michigan K9 Foundation and subsequently paired with a deserving veteran.
What We Do
Participants are challenged to cover 12 miles with a weighted rucksack, emulating a military ruck march. The funds raised go towards training service dogs that are then paired with veterans in need. The event is organized by the West Michigan K9 Foundation and highlights the importance of service animals in helping veterans regain independence and improve their quality of life.
