Who We Are
Mission: To preserve and enhance the historic, artistic, and environmental integrity of Muskegon, Michigan, by creating beautiful and sustainable spaces that inspire community pride and connection.
Phoenix Continuum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining and revitalizing the inner-city environment of Muskegon. Guided by a passionate Board of nine community members, we focus on projects that celebrate Muskegon’s historic and artistic heritage while fostering environmental sustainability and community engagement.
What We Do
Phoenix Continuum’s inaugural project is the creation of a community Victorian garden on a lot transformed by resilience and renewal after a devastating fire (hence the agency name of Phoenix, something beautiful will arise from the destruction of fire). This garden is designed to feature Victorian-style elements, including benches, loveseats, street lamps, a sundial, and lush flower gardens. Surrounded by metal fencing with arbor gates, the space serves as a haven for beauty, history, and community gathering. By turning a site of destruction into one of inspiration, we embody the spirit of the Phoenix—bringing new life and hope to Muskegon.
