Read Muskegon is a small organization with a big mission: improving the quality of life throughout Muskegon County through improved literacy. If you want to help but don't feel like tutoring is the right form of volunteering for you, there is another way you can help! Join us in spreading the word about our programs by volunteering at various outreach events held throughout the county. Whether it's a summer community block party or an info session at your church, almost every occasion presents an opportunity.
With the direction of the Read Muskegon Volunteer Coordinator, outreach ambassadors will occasionally staff our tables at events, distribute flyers and free giveaways, answer questions from visitors, and take down contact information for those interested in reading help.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for high school and college students, families, and anyone else interested in helping Read Muskegon without making the time commitment of volunteer tutoring.
