About the Opportunity:
Join us in supporting Rotary Youth Exchange students through our Yard Sale Fundraiser. Volunteers will help prepare, organize, and run the sale, with a variety of roles available—from sorting donations to assisting shoppers.
Funds raised will support local students from Muskegon and Oakridge as they prepare for life-changing exchange experiences in Denmark and South Korea.
Volunteer Shifts & Needs:
Wednesday, May 14 (Prep Night)

6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Help sort, organize, and tag donated items for the sale.
Friday, May 15 & Saturday, May 16
Set-Up:
-
7:00 AM
Help arrange tables, organize items, and prepare for shoppers.
Yard Sale Shifts (2-hour increments):
- 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Volunteers may:
- Assist customers
- Handle cash transactions
- Restock and organize items
- Help price and sort items throughout the day
Tear-Down:
-
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Help clean up and reset for the next day.
Sunday, May 17
Set-Up:
- 7:00 AM
Yard Sale Shifts:
- 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
No tear-down needed—remaining items will be donated to local charities.
