Volunteers needed to help support families through their education experience. This is a long term volunteer position.
Essential duties of a Special Education Advocate include:
- Phone conversation/Consultation/Parent support
- Gathering pertinent information
- Meetings with Parent/Student
- Plan and attend Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Follow-up
The Arc Muskegon will provide ongoing training sessions to prepare you for being a special education advocate.
