Description

MADD Victim Services offers many ways for victims/survivors to remember and honor those killed or injured in impaired driving crashes. Special events volunteers assist in planning, organizing, and implementing of special events for victims/survivors.

Skills/Training Requirements: completion of MADD orientation, good organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively, reliable transportation and comfortable approaching community vendors to procure products and services for event and, working with community partners.

  • Details: Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention, Public Support

–Help plan, organize, and implement special events such as Tie One on For Safety, Remembrance Vigils, Walk Like MADD, and help create new ideas.

–Areas of involvement may include photography, public relations, registration, media, fundraising or logistics.

–Create and Build relationships with community partners.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

–Sensitivity to the needs of victims and survivors of impaired driving

–Ability to communicate effectively

–Ability to work in a Team Environment

–Ethical behavior and respect of confidentiality

–Strong Advocate for MADD

–Have access to own transportation; have a valid drivers license and auto insurance

–Access to Internet and Phone

  • Time Commitment:

–2-4 Hours per Week

–Attend Special Event Committee Meeting, Typically in evenings and once per month

–4 month Commitment prior to Event
