Volunteers will meet at the Smith Ryerson Center (650 Wood St, Muskegon MI 49442) and will disperse in teams to clean up trash in the stream from Getty St to Muskegon Lake!
The first 20 Volunteers will receive a T-shirt, and all volunteers will be treated to lunch and snacks at the end of the day. Please email Chelsey at chelsey.wabsis@macd.org to submit t-shirt sizes.
The Muskegon Conservation District would like to thank to the Michigan Clean Water Corps (MiCorps) for the funding to host this event. A big thank you to the City of Muskegon DPW, United Way, and the Water Resource Commissioners office for all of their help with this event!
Some boots and waders will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own. Trash gathering materials are all provided as well as gloves! If you have a kayak and want to get into the deeper parts of the creek, please bring it along (at your own discretion. MCD is not liable for any personal materials)! We don't want to miss any piece of trash!
