Route Marker Volunteer!
Help the Ride United team with keeping our riders safe!
For this volunteer position, you will help us keep our cyclists safe and on the correct route by laying "sticker arrows" on the ground, and mile markers sign every mile on the path to the next aid station! This job is done the day before the event and ensures that our cyclists stay on track, and safe. By having mile markers, we are able to send help quicker along the path if someone is in need.
This is a great job for pairs! Ride along with a partner and enjoy the same scenic route as our riders!
When: May 17th (the day before the ride); expect to spend two hours in this volunteer role.
Where: The route will need to be marked along from the start line (Heritage Landing) to Pioneer Park; Pioneer Park to White Lake; White Lake to Golden Township Park; Golden Township Park back to the finish line.
Materials are given by the United Way, along with a map indicating where all signs/arrows go.
