Read Muskegon has recently expanded our English as a Second Language program, and we are seeking volunteers to help in the two following areas:
- Weekly ESL Class Aide - Our ESL class meets every Wednesday and Thursday from 1 pm to 3 pm. The volunteer tutor will give 1-on-1 attention to learners as necessary and assist the instructor in prep and/or running the class.
- 1-on-1 Tutor - Outside of our ESL class, we also have a 1-on-1 tutoring program for learners who either cannot attend our class or who want extra practice outside of class. 1-on-1 tutors and their ESL learner choose a time and public place to meet that works for both to work toward the learners' various goals.
Bilingual and multilingual abilities are a plus, but not necessary!
